Fain Technology (2)

The patented Fain technology producing the special surfactant mixture does not cause emissions, effluents, noise or smell. It is eco-friendly and consumes only a small amount of energy.

Following dedicated, thorough basic research and product development we have achieved the easily and rapidly biodegradable Fain special surfactant mixture. From this we have been able to refine the unique Greenfain WP3 surfactant as well as high quality washing and cleaning liquids. During the product development we have cooperated with the Tampere University of Technology, the Department of Materials Science of the University of Turku, the Lappeenranta University of Technology, and with a number of private and authorized laboratories. Several different test and analysis reports on the patented Fain technology and Fain products are available(COST, OECD 301E, ISO862, AISE/EC, OECD405, VTT, REACH).

Within our product range, we also have several specialised products aimed at the  construction and metal industries, agriculture, animal husbandry as well as environmental projects. All our consumer products, including various personal hygiene and cosmetic products are safe, effective, economic and eco-friendly. During the production process there are no emissions or effluents and the surface active agents of our products are quickly and easily biodegradable, in accordance with EU regulations.  Fain special surfactant is fully water-soluble and it does not leave any harmful residues in water or ground.

Oy Faintend Ltd has received the President of Finland’s Innosuomi diploma for setting an example in innovation. Companies of all sizes are responsible for the safety of chemicals that they place on the EU market. REACH is a European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals.  A major part of REACH is the requirement for manufacturers or importers of substances to register them with a central European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

Oy Faintend Ltd has started the REACH registration process of Fain special tenside in October 2008 by completing the pre-registration according to the rules and requirements of ECHA. Faintend is collecting and collating more specified sets of information on the properties of Fain special tenside for the final registration, which will be done no later than the end of 2018.
